Melodic phrase in the Friday prayer of Tatars of the Krasnoyarsk region
The report is devoted to the "matter" of the sounding word in local and regional versions of the Friday collective prayer of Muslim Tatars of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The material under study highlights such ways of translating the meaning of religious texts as chanting, speaking, speed reading, whispering and silence. The author's musical interpretation makes it possible to identify and analyze the procedural narratives of his text related to a certain type of musical thinking, and signs of the latter's transformation as a result of the long process of acculturation of Muslim Tatars in the environment of the Yenisei province since the middle of the 17th century.
The report uses the methodology of analyzing melodies with a free rhythm (G.B. Shamilli), developed on the basis of applying a logical and semantic approach (A.V. Smirnov) to classical music theory (Safi al-Din al-Urmawi, etc.) and modern genre samples of the art of maqam.
The focus is on the unit of musical speech, defined as "jumla" in accordance with modern musical terminology and the theory of Arabic linguistic grammar.
