A new look at wandering melodies

The concept of "three-dimensional vision" proposed by the author is applicable to various segments of the humanities. Probably, we will be able to talk not only about the concept in ethnomusicology, but also more broadly about the approach in which, without building a hierarchy, we could consider the related components of the musical language as arranged in a single whole – a "stereo object". This approach turns out to be more difficult not only for the researcher, but also for the recipient, as it involves immersion in more than one cultural context. Interdisciplinary collaboration between specialists in various traditions becomes necessary and enriches knowledge about each of them, and gives those involved the opportunity to see what is not available from any one point of view. As a result, there is a new aesthetic value, a new object of study and interest, the so-called "stereo object".
