Language―Grammar―Process―Thinking

One of the little-studied problems of the interaction of linguistic and speech grammars in music becomes particularly relevant when seemingly similar principles of derivation are discovered in sections of a musical text in contrasting cultures of the East and West, such as the art of maqam, on the one hand, and new music, on the other. The report will present the results of the analysis of linguistic and speech grammars (historical conceptualization and modern practice), as well as their systematization in line with the typology of the musical process based on the compositional models maqam al iraqī, dastgāh and spectral compositions of the turn of the XX-XXI centuries.
