Thought on Music in the Abrahamic Tradirions-2019

The conference is dedicated to discussing the problem of sound conceptualization on a wide range of non―verbal and verbal texts - from the Holy Scriptures to the latest theoretical works of the XXI century. The main problem focuses on the study of stable basic intonation patterns in various layers of traditional music and approaches to the study of "wandering melodies", migrating melodic patterns in the space of musical cultures of the Abrahamic traditions. The focus is on the possibilities of modern computer sound decoding, the rules and perspectives of manual and automatic marking of audio recordings and transcriptions, the concepts of "polyphony" and "multi-string" in ancient and early Christian musical traditions.
